Rob Grainger – Business Development Director
Rob has over 15 years of experience in the media industry as a magazine and online publisher and is a regular speaker and chairperson at media industry events. His experience encompasses customer and consumer publishing, media planning, and client side marketing roles. Rob is a co-founder of DD&AG and oversees all projects to ensure our clients are always kept up to date and fully involved with their projects, as well as supporting our clients on their own new business pitches.
Daniel Sharp – Technical Director (London)
Originally a LAMP developer, Daniel joined a publishing company in 2001 as their Technical Director. A few years later he launched SWR Media, a multi-award-winning consumer and contract publishing company that has been at the forefront of digital production and media for 7 years. Following the acquisition of DD&AG in 2008, Daniel is now the company’s London based Technical Director, working side by side with global creative and advertising agencies.
Steven York – Technical Director (Cambridge)
Steven is an exceptionally talented developer with an intricate knowledge of both front and back-end builds. Steven has worked on a variety of projects from 2-day urgent builds to 15 month, mission-critical projects. He heads up DD&AG’s Cambridge office which hosts several build teams but most importantly DD&AG’s Research and Development department. Steven is responsible for steering the direction of our R&D as well as packaging the results into the frameworks and libraries our build teams have come to rely on.
Phil Yates – Head of Product
Phil has over 5 years of experience building web based and mobile systems. Phil is passionate about mobile technology across all platforms and the possibilites that it represents and keeps himself up to date on the latest developments in this space. Has built business critical management systems which have been used in both the vehicle industry (Land Rover, Jaguar, Subaru, Ford) and publishing industry (TAG Worldwide).
David Thorne – Systems Director
David is our Systems Director, who specialises in writing and implementing systems specifications ensuring the websites that DD&AG’s servers run are as resilliant and secure as possible. He has industry recognised Linux qualifications (including an RHCE), experience with working on a variety of platforms, working with ITIL and PCI standards and a deep working knowledge of how to get the best performance out of each server DD&AG use for development or live production websites. David works across all projects to ensure that an appropriate level of security and redundancy is built into everything that we output.
Iain Campbell – Team Director
Over twelve years of commercial development experience has seen Iain become an expert in a wide range of technologies, covering desktop, mobile, TV and web applications. Driven by a passion for all things software-related, Iain works hard to keep abreast of all new trends. Where a project is technically challenging and requires both flair and experience, then Iain has the capability to deliver. With a career covering start-ups, publishing houses and blue-chips including IBM, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Hachette Livre, The Caribbean Tourism Organisation and Roche.
Daniel Prior – Developer
Daniel has over 6 years of development experience covering mobile and web, working mainly for media and publishing companies. He has an intricate knowledge of both front and back-end builds and has been responsible for a number of the administration interfaces that our bespoke build and framework clients use heavily every day.
